Recently, good news came from the 1500 MW gas combined cycle independent power plant project located in Xilin District, Sire Prefecture, Uzbekistan (hereinafter referred to as "Uzbekistan"), where the gas turbine of Unit 1 was successfully put in place. Mr. Rabek Mirzamamudov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan, Mr. Akemazhang, Governor of Silhe Prefecture, Abid, representative of ACWA POWER, and relevant project leaders witnessed this historic moment. The completion of this node marks another important achievement of Chinese enterprises in the construction of projects in countries along the "the Belt and Road" and an important breakthrough in major nodes.
Since the commencement of the project in January 2021, with the efforts of the tight joint venture project implementation team composed of China Energy Construction International Group International Engineering Company and Zhejiang Thermal Power Company, the project milestones have been achieved as scheduled. Today, the successful positioning of gas turbine has laid a solid foundation for the subsequent positioning of No. 1 generator, steam turbine and related auxiliary equipment installation. The gas turbine project in Uzbekistan is a key project in the country. The external impact of the project throughout its implementation cycle has far-reaching significance for the promotion of China Energy Construction brand and deepening of the "the Belt and Road".
The gas turbine model of Uzi Gas Turbine Project is M701JAC, with a weight of 517 tons, a length of 13.7 meters, a width of 6.078 meters, and a height of 5.888 meters. It is manufactured by Mitsubishi Corporation of Japan.
The project leader said that the project department will continue to promote the good corporate style of Chinese enterprises in international projects, strive to ensure safety and stability, further improve the project quality, ensure that the first unit will be put into operation at the end of 2023, and help Uzbekistan build a clean energy center.
The project is located in Syr Darya Prefecture, Uzbekistan. It adopts advanced and efficient H-class gas turbine, which has the highest combustion temperature, the highest single power, the highest efficiency gas turbine and other "firsts" in the world. The use of the "zero wastewater discharge" design scheme is a world leading and efficient green energy conservation and environmental protection project. After the construction and operation of the power plant, it will reach the world's leading level, and will fully meet the power demand of the three major states of Syr River, Bukhara and Samarkand, and can supply more than 36 million kilowatt hours of power to the local power grid every day.
